It’s always refreshing to introduce something new into your life. like new people. so a while back I met this guy on a plane on my way back to fremont. he’s a few years older, is already working as a software developer for an insurance company, but is probably the coolest programmer-type person I’ve ever met. the guy was a bassist in this neat little band in college. a BASSIST! I love bassists. Adam Clayton’s a bassist. -wink- so was Mike from Common Rotation, but he’s an ass. More on that story later. ;-)
Anyhow, this guy and I have managed to stay in touch. It’s amazing how much difference a few years can make on a person’s perspective. Three years is enough to add some insight into one’s life, but is not enough to cause toooo huge of a gap. We’ve hung out a few times, and discovered we have some overlapping musical interests, the primary one being U2. He’s been introducing me to a bunch of other music.. and i’ve loving it loving it loving it!
recent discoveries: the pixies. the rentals. cake (never really got into them much before, but nooooow…). blur. blur and radiohead.
