ok, ok, ok. my blog has gotten waaay way way too political. so here’s a personal update.

went to see them at verizon wireless in irvine a couple weeks ago. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!! weezer, geek band of the decade, does pyro at their live shows. completely rocked the house. only complaint was that the audience was full of weezer newbies who didn’t know songs off pinkerton… or even the blue album!! -sob!- Rivers led the band in a gorgeous version of “Only in Dreams” and followed it up with “Surf Wax America”… and people didn’t even get it. :(
jer, julie, and I also got to catch Area2 at Verizon Wireless. gosh, I hate that place, but don’t get me started! (stupid clear channel!) at any rate, we got there late because traffic on the 405 that day was completely awful… it took us more than an hour to actually get to Irvine, and we’re only maybe 40 minutes from it from RB. -throws arms up in the air- but what we saw once we were there was pretty bad-ass. Tiesto ROCKED, Bowie was amazing… completely charming, and Moby was, though not as electric as he was at AreaOne, still immensely fun to watch.
