weblogs are strange, oddly self-indulgent things. on one hand, you’re giving yourself a place to vent and air the things on your mind, and yet because others are reading this, you are also writing for an audience. who are you, person reading this blog? are you a good friend of mine swinging by to check in? are you a stranger looking for idlewild pictures and you happened to stumble upon my shrine in progress? are you a friend of a foe?
and so blogging becomes a teetering line between presentation and exposition. this is my space, and I want to be free to speak what’s on my mind, but I also want the freedom to not be limited by what I say between these pages. this site is not who i am — it’s just a slice of who I am: a work in progress.
so, kind reader, I hope you can respect my hazy rumblings. I’m more than the words on your screen, or maybe less, or simply not exactly. I’m still searching… -scratches head-
