new music discoveries for today:
a song my friend told me about yesterday was stroke 9 – kick some ass. it’s a bouncy song (you know, like their other song “little black backpack”) with some funny lyrics, which I’ll refrain from posting here. I’ll let you discover them on your own.
I’ve discovered secondspin.com, a site that specializes in selling used cds, as you can probably infer from the name. second spin has a pretty good selection, with lots of really good deals on those older cds i’ve always wanted but never got around to picking up. I’ve found cds I wanted for as low as 1.99.. and it looks like prices get about as high as 7.99 or so for an older used cd. double cds cost a few bucks more, but still make for quite a good deal. surprisingly, shipping is not expensive at all! I purchased four cds for about 24 bucks, and after tax and shipping (which was $3 for the whole thing), it came out to about $30. hey, it’s still cheaper than penny lane!
